Fun Facts:
Belemnite, meaning “dart” or “javelin”, they were a free swimming squid-like creature with a long bullet shaped body and a hard internal skeleton called a guard. They were carnivore and lived in the Late Triassic to Late Cretaceous. Their habitat was shallow coastal waters so as deep oceans.
