These huge creatures can measure up to 9 m for the males and weigh more than 9 tonnes. Killer whales live in small groups of between 5 and 10 individuals, which form a genuine family unit. They are very sociable and possess an incredible capacity for being trained. Like its cousin the dolphin, the killer whale is one of the world’s most intelligent animals.
